well it looks like the ken bell boost a pump
is what I’m going to install. It’s what LPE recommends. It works only under boost conditions. And that’s what I want
I know this is the cheaper and easier route. Just couldn’t do it myself. In the long run I think it’s hard on the pumps. Better off getting the right setup for the car. I went with the FORE setup on my Saleen. Not sure I will do that again or just do the ZR1 pump.

from all I’ve herd the ZR1 pump doesn’t work
probably because the locked computer runs the second set of port injectors only when needed. Our computers can’t read that signal

Thanks for the info. First I heard of this. Guess I’ll have to look more in to it. I had heard it was basically plug and play.
What does the boost a pump actually do to increase the fuel and why will it hurt the pump?
It sends extra voltage to the pump basically making it pump more fuel. Not sure what the failure rate is but I personally feel it’s safer just to get a pump setup that’s adequate for the fuel needed. I’d hate to have a failure and break something internal trying to save a few bucks.

pump failure was my initial concern. After talking to LPE tech they have been using these boost a pumps for quite sometime haven’t had failures. They said that the factory pump is very stout and they use these on all cars under 1000 hp. Problem is there’s just no good low side pumps out there.
How’s has it been driving with the 2300 vs your oem with 15% pulley?
stronger, it’s not night and day difference because of my set up before. It’s definitely a stronger pull. Plus it runs cooler spins slower and the IAT are lower. Much more efficient S.C. and room to grow. Glad I did it.
Glad to hear. Mine hopefully will be in the car next week. Are u planning different pulley combo ?
I’ll Waite and see after the boost a pump is installed and re tuned on a cooler day. My tuner said if the fuel pressure is good we may go back to the 15% pulley.
