Hey guys, I just ordered the Hooker Blackheart muffler delete axle back system for my 2015 Z. I was reading over Borla's instructions on installation of their axle back and they have you removing the x pipe to install the axle back. Is this true? You do need to remove the centre x-pipe. Not enough room to extract the old exhaust and install the new. I've done 3 Z06's and the centre section had to be removed on all three. It's not that difficult and makes the job so much easier.
I have a 16z and I didn’t have to remove the xpipe. I did have to remove the rear lower fascia. If your doing it on the floor you just have to raise the rear high enough to remove the stock mufflers.
