Can’t sleep. Too excited. I just remembered Houston had a huge flood recently and a ton of cars were ruined by water damage. Now here I am about to buy a car from Houston. I’ve already ran a carfax report on the vehicle and it didn’t show anything unusual. Do you guys think that’s enough to be sure that this corvette wasn’t affected by the flood??
but seriously, I’m sure the car is fine. You’re going to give the car a good inspection, might as well also look for signs of flood damage. Google can probably point you for things to look for but I’d guess smelly carpet and rusted bolts inside the car (seat rails)

When I look back at my CorvetteForum profile history spanning back to 2007 back when I was only a teenager, it feels surreal now that all the paperwork is finalized and all that I need to do is fly out to Texas and drive it back home. Today is a special moment for me and I wanted to share it with you, my fellow Corvette enthusiasts. Being able to own a Corvette Z06 has been a dream of mine for over a decade now and it’s an amazing feeling being able to realize one’s dream.
I’ve wanted a Vette since I was a little kid, It's a fun journey and in just a few hours you’ll be able to say you’ve accomplished another little something in your life. Enjoy the ride (life, car, etc)
Most important thing, drive safe. These cars are wild and can lose it pretty quick. If you’re going to get aggressive, I suggest an empty parking lot to get a feel for the tires limits

Safety Car
Although I don't know this shop personally it is a big shop and has lots of customers and locations in both Houston and Dallas. They aren't going to be the type of place that churn and burn flood cars. Enjoy the trip.
