Default Katech PTB install

Is all that’s needed is a 10mm socket and wrench? Flathead or nutdriver for clamps and that’s it right? Do I have to remove heat extractor and intake?

It can be done without removing the heat extractor, but its 4 7mm bolts pretty easy to remove! It shold take around 15 mins the whole swap!

When I installed my katech I didnt need any special tools. Just remember to not kill the bolts when putting it back. They can snap easily. And you dont need to unplug any harness as it might throw a cel next time you start the car because the harness was unplugged with the ECU live.

Yes plenty of room not to pull the heat extractor. A wobbly extension is nice to have for the lower TB bolts. Also definitely don’t overtighten bolts. The o-ring will seal it fine just snug👍🏻

So what are the results after this install? I love the look of that butterfly but after the install it is hidden. Any measments or dyno results?
thanks

I have the Mamo TB and it’s a smoother throttle response with the M7 cars. Assume the same with Katech. Not really a HP mod.

Good looking part. Katech does nice work. I like that the throttle shaft is reduce.

theres many threads on this but katech by default offers the best happy medium between smoothness and better throttle response while the competitors allow you to tell them the aggressiveness but sometimes it comes too aggressive so the throttle is super touchy.

katech leaves some on the table so theres a compromise and balance. Another reason why I went with katech.
