Who daily drives their C7Z?
I took it out today, despite it usually being a weekend car, because the weather was nice.
Even had the top off. Forgot how thrilling the experience is ... exhaust on any real throttle -- and my car is just stock except for air filter.
My point is I'm still amazed how doable a DD it is, even the Z (can't imagine the ZR1). Of course, can't really use the power, have to respect it, esp with commuters clogging the highway ...but it's comfortable enough and eats up the highways over the hills where i live like the inclines are nothing (wish I had thought to have the PDR on).
And like Bill, sometimes I use Eco ...

I dd mine as well as track it. Both drag and autoX, road course. I can't use Eco it's just not in my DNA, much less it's gone after going with Comp Cam. It no longer can go into cylinder deactivation.

While I’m sure it’s a real possibility and probably done quite often ... I’d hate life if a Corvette - which I have to fall into (for ingress) and climb out of (for egress)- were my daily driver/only car. It’s just not a very practical” platform/car for daily transportation activities, imho.

I drive mine most days in the warmer months and occaison ally in the winter if the roads are clear and it’s not real cold. Drove it this morning .
Didnt spend $90 grand to let it set in my garage.

Have just under 41,000 miles on my MY15. Drive it whenever I can, regardless of weather, and use it on the track too. Why not?

I DD mine from late March/early April till late November/early December. I live at pretty good elevation (for western PA) and we have 1/3 mile gravel access road to the house so once the snow comes its serious work to get in and out in the Z
Just sits in its heated home, with my bikes, taunting me till spring time.

My wife drives her '18 Z vert every day unless we're in my Suburban. We traded a '15 Z coupe in with around 36000 miles on it. Living in SE TX helps ref weather. Doesn't get real cold just rainy at times.

How do you find Eco?

The climate here in PA is what stops me from daily driving mine. I actually made a video about this on my YouTube because of how much I'd like to be able to do it. The snow/salt is what really kills that option for me, though.

It’s now my DD.
life is too short.
AS3+ tires make all the difference.
Twisty roads and on ramps are serious fun!

My 2017 ZO6 goes out for a drive every day! I have about 17K miles on it!

Mine is a 3 season DD. I drive it as far into winter as I can until the roads get crappy. I know salt won't kill it but with limited traction, I don't find it all that fun to drive. Same for rain, I will drive it in rain but I don't like behaving myself.

I DD my new 2019 Z06 and have put a little over 600 miles on it since I took delivery at the beginning of Nov. Of course I live in AZ so bad weather isn’t an issue. Also my round trip work commute is relatively short (approx 26 miles) with a combination of surface streets and highway. I’ve had garage queens previously, but I bought this to drive. Coming from a BMW 5 series, the Z06 is more livable as a DD than I thought it would be. Leveraging the magnaride for rough roads and exhaust control for quiet are your 2 best friends.

I will echo many of the sentiments here-I drive mine regularly from about March/April through November or whenever the first salt is going to get put down for a winter storm. This year, having sold my old BMW and still waiting for the new one to come in, I even drove the Z06 for a few weeks in cold weather and in some snow. Normally in the summer if it looks like it will raining for several days running I swap it on the lift with my BMW 5 series. But it the weather is nice with only a small risk of rain the BMW stays on top of the lift. Last year I know the BMW spent much more time on the Battery Tender than the Z06. I have done two 2,500 mile road trips in the Z06 and now have about 16,000 miles on it. --Bob

im fortunate to live where there’s no snow or salt.
i feel the cargo space, parking challenges, and the looky-loo aspects.
This time of year, people donate stuff to holiday toy drives and I could barely fit a toddler’s bike under the hatch, turning the 14” wheel sideways, to drive it ten blocks to the local fire station.
I play parking bingo for 15 min because most of the available spots at the gym are too narrow. If I’m going somewhere I don’t know has “good” parking, I don’t take the Z.
When I go to park in a lot for a business lunch, this guy is walking across in front of me at a snail’s pace, eye effing my yellow car until I rev the engine in neutral... that gave me a chuckle as he hightailed it the remaining half of the way! Luckily my area is pretty nice, so there are other nice cars around to distract people.
i’ve had another car before my Z. It’s fully paid, Insurance is less than $125, gas efficient (22+). It’s a classic e46 bmw 3-series convertible (non M3, non ZHP). It’s fun...Only 225 hp and torque but NA, a compact light maneuverable car, oversteering past the DSC system is predictable- put in a limited slip diff and it’s a drift car! It’s also the rainy day, bad parking, 4-seater, bad neighborhood, top down Miata like (5-speed manual) roadster.
thanks to everyone else who commented.

I DD mine. I don't even own another vehicle. Sure I can't haul lumber from Lowes or whatever, but I make big trips to costco, grocery shop, drive in rain, basically anything you'd do with a "normal" car, like a civic.
