Ceramic Brake problem
Lately have been having an intermittent problem with my 2016 Z06 with the ceramic brakes, a waring comes on that stating worn brakes and when I clear the message it may not come on again for days. Car has about 22,00 miles and not been tracked. When I bought the car in the first few miles got a warning that brakes needed to be serviced and tuned out that there was a broken wire so they replace both front brakes. Hoping it is something similar seeing as I don't track the car would be very unhappy if I managed to wear out the very expensive ceramic brakes this early.

The warning comes from the wear sensor in the pads, either front or rear. Could be a faulty sensor that cracked (they do get brittle with heat) or it could be that you are due for pads. The warning has nothing to do with your rotors, which are the most expensive component. Check your brake pads and/or wear sensors.

If your brake pads dont look worn then it definitely a faulty sensor, its common with the CCB's for some reason, mine came on at 7k so I replaced the sensors and again it came one a week ago at 12k so I had to replace them again
