Default Z06 Tires Sizing

Hello all,

I have a 2016 CC7 Z06. It has the factory Michellins on it:
335/25ZR20
285/30ZR19

I have been told TOYO R888Rs are really great tires. Mind you I am not concerned about the costs vs. performance at the track.

So I have researched the TOYO site and found the Proxes TIR, the Proxes T1 Sport and the Proxes R888R.

The Proxes R888R comes in:
325/30ZR20
295/30ZR19

Has anyone put these EXACT sized tires on a 2016 C& Z06?
Any issues with rubbing?
What do you think about the tire?
Thanks and happy holidays to all!

You might want to check out this thread from February from the Z06 section. It should have some helpful info.

Here is another one I had saved:

What are you going to use them for? Road Course, Street?
Here is what Toyo says about the tires:
Toyo Tires recommends the following general setup guidelines for the Proxes R888R:
  • Operating Temperature: 160°F to 220°F
  • Hot Inflation Pressures: 32 to 38 (psi)
  • Camber: -1° to -3°
  • Caster: As much positive as possible
That operating temperature is almost impossible to achieve on the street as you can't get the speed necessary to generate that temperature. When I have tried to heat cycle various make competition tires on a hot day on back roads where I could get speeds close to 100 I found the tires only reached 135 degrees. Without the temperature they don't have any where near as much grip as they do when hot. These tires will come in at a lower temperature than a Cup2 or Hoosier R7 which have target temperatures of 190 degrees but won't be as quick as a Hoosier A7 which has a target temperature of 135 degrees which lets it warm up during the first part of an autocross run.

Bill
Thanks
I want the R888R for road and track. I guy I work with has a GTR, 775RWHP and says they heat up fine.

I did some research and it appears that the following sizes are the best fit for a 2016 C7 Z06:
Toyo R888r
Rear 325/30ZR20
Front 265/30ZR19

I have a 2016 CC7 Z06. It has the factory Michellins on it:
335/25ZR20
285/30ZR19
The Michellins are just not what I expected based on the specs vs. performance. They are good tires but I am just not sold.

If anyone has put these on their 2014 + C7 Z06 please reply as I am concerned about rubbing on the front at higher g forces in turns. The back tires should be fine:
Toyo R888r
Rear 325/30ZR20
Front 265/30ZR19

Thanks to all for sharing, I REALLY appreciate it!

Have a safe holiday season!!!!
