What car lift do Z06 owners have in their personal garage ?
How do you pickup your 2019 Z06 without damaging the ground effects. I am going to be in the market and would like some advice from owners using one now. What type of lift do you have (mangf. and model)? What do you like and what do you not like? You answers are much appreciated. Thanks John!

Quick Jack, easy to use, stores under the car when not in use.

I have a Kwick lift. Have had c4s-c7s and it works great with them. A must for oil changes,x pipe and exhaust swaps. Its basically two ramps you drive up onto and then lift the rear up with a good floor jack. My Z07 goes up fine without hitting splitter.

2 post Snap on. Drive the Z up on 3" ramps and then swing the arms under and lift on the aftermarket pucks. Lots of clearance to see under and arm is nowhere near the ground effects.

I have the EZ Car Lift, does a good job but most jobs still require a creeper. Stores on the wall when not in use.

I have a Rotary 2-post with offset arms. Requires a couple of minor monkey-motions to get the arms positioned under the car, but works perfectly for my maintenance purposes (I don't store on it, but could.) Requires a 12-foot ceiling, though they have a version that only needs 10 feet. That one still gives stand-up clearance below, but only low vehicles can be raised to full height. Reverse Logic pucks give me clearance under the Stage 3 skirts. If you go with a 2-post lift, make sure you order the arms with 3 telescoping sections, not just two.

I have a bendpack hd9000 4 post lift. It works great.
But get the full sized lift (they also sell a narrow version of this lift. The narrow lift is not wide enough for the z06.
Good Luck.

I’ve had it over 5 years and the only thing I don’t like is that i didn’t buy it earlier!

I've had a MaxJax for over 10 years and it works great for me. I have the epoxy mollies in 6" of cement and had everything from a lawn tractor, Harleys, race car, Vettes and even my Yukon Denali XL on it. It only takes me about 10 minutes to set it up and when not in use it just stows away in a corner of the shop. It's the perfect lift for lower ceilings. The highest it lifts the cars is about the rocker panels are about 48" off the ground so you can't walk under the car but it just right for sitting on the scooter seat.
I also have a 4 post Bend Pak lift and about the only thing I use it for is storage, I should probably sell it.

Traded my 2 post for a 4 post 9000 Atlas. With a Race Ramp putting any car on the lift is a snap. Any lift, less than a 9000 will not accommodate a Z06. A 4 post is the better and safer and easier to load choice. Good luck.

I agree on one like this can store one under the car plus the only bad thing on this 4 post IF YOU do a lot of pulling the full running gear from the car a two post will work 100% better. BUT IF YOU GET THE 4 POST get the wide one this way you will not have to push your side morrows in and even with that you only have a few inch's on each side IF YOU DONT GET THE WIDER 4 POST LIFT.. But with that side I dont have the wider one and have had the car up on it and have pulled the trans out to do a RPM wave track set up with a 3:42 gear & 3 diff exhaust systems under it also.. Robert

Same here with jack trays and two power lifts so I can get all four wheels off the lift ramps. Creates a very versatile system to let you do every kind of work as well as car storage.

I got a four post lift in 2012, a Direct Lift Pro Park 8000S, a lot like the Atlas and other similar mid priced lifts. Cost about $3,200 installed in my garage, about $2,300 for the lift and $900 for delivery and installation. More expensive now no doubt. Has worked great for me. I use it mostly for winter and rainy day storage of the Z06 (and summer storage for my BMW 5 Series); it takes about 5-7 minutes to swap cars. What ever lift you get, I strongly recommend getting the lightweight Race Ramps. The steel ones that came with the lift weigh about 70 lbs apiece and were completely useless for this old guy. Race Ramps were a bit pricey ($300 plus) but only weigh about 15 lbs each. I originally got the lift for my '95 ZR-1 and when I upgraded to the Z06 the tires on the Z06 hang over the edges of the ramps about an inch on either side when centered. No big deal. The only minor issue I have had with the lift is that the hydraulic cylinder developed a very slight leak, a few drops every month or so. I fitted one of the plastic drip trays under it and it is no problem. I have never had to add any hydraulic fluid (ATF actually). My garage is 21 x 21 with a 10' ceiling and an 18' wide double door. Had to raise the garage door tracks to within about 6 inches of the ceiling, installed a Liftmaster 3800 jackshaft opener and added power outlets overhead for lift and charger with surface mounted conduit. The wide door is very helpful as it allows the lift to be left of centerline, giving my wife plenty of room for her car and shelves. There are many pictures of the lift when first installed in my profile; just click on my avatar. --Bob
Garage has an 18' wide door--really helpful because lift is actually iside the garage centerline and still has 22" on the side.

I have a 9000 lb Triton 2 post in my second garage. I use 4, 1" x 10"s and push the car up on them to get the arms under. Not really a classy way of doing it, but it works.

When choosing a lift you need to make sure it will fit in the garage and disturb your usage of the garage. If you have the standard 19 ft wide 2 car garage that most newer homes seem to have most two and 4 post lifts will block walking through the garage or maybe even block having a second car in the garage. A 4 post lift can be placed closer to the garage walls but that pretty much eliminates doing any work on that side of the car. A 2 post lift has to be mounted to the floor a minimum of 8 to 10 inches away from the edge of the concrete. That usually means either of the lifts encroach on the parking space for the other car in the garage. I have 3 ft of working space between my car and the wall when it is lifted on the MaxJax however to achieve that it takes up about 1/4 of the other car's parking space so when the lift is being used the garage just becomes a wide single car garage.
A lift that can provide flexibility and not involve a lot of monkeying around is a mid rise scissors lift. When not in use you park your car over it and when it is in use you can still park a car next to it.
