Engine temps
Need to compare some numbers.
Car has a 160* thermostat and heat expansion tank grenatelli.
Lower IW 18% pulley LTs intake meth.
Regular driving noticed on highway cruising my engine temp sits at 203 to 208. Oil temp 190+.
Anyone else experience this. I swore when the car came out of shop temps were in the 180s all around.
Air temps here have been pretty steady around 80 during the day and low 70s high 60s at night. Car is at 203+ regardless of time of day. I've also noticed the fans kicking in a lot more lately.
Should I be concerned? A buddy said his car sits at 150-170.. 😲

So your car has zero added cooling capacity for engine cooling temps. It just is set to start cooling the liquid at a lower temp.
Your buddy is wrong about 150-170 with a 160 degree thermostat. His car will heat up to 160 and then as long as he has enough cooling capacity, it should open the cooling loop and stay at 160. Not lower.
With all that said, there's a chance your thermostat is failing to open at the right temperature if it ran cooler in the same ambient temperature and running conditions
