Default Splash Guards

Good Morning! I need your thoughts on front and rear splash guards. From what I’ve read it seems ACS Composites are a better option than the GM products. ACS offers several styles and designs. Are there any other options out there and are they really effective in reducing paint chips?? Thank You

I have the GM splash guards on my 19 GS. I like them and so far they have been effective. Others like the ACS version because they are a little wider and offer a little more protection.

I have the ACS splash guards on the front of my 19 Z06 along with the carbon fiber side skirts. On the rear I also have the ACS splash guards. The combination is very effective at reducing the incidence of rocks being thrown up on the side of the car. I installed the regular splash guards because they blend very nice with the car. The XL models are too big in my opinion.

The rear doesn't need very much protection if any, and the GM ones are smaller.

On the front I have universal. The ACS ones don't hang down low enough.

Depends on how picky you are. I think the finish on the GM ones looks a little different than ACS. The universal aren't a perfect solution, but if you have really bad roads and sticky tires they protect better.

I’ve had the GM versions on my C7 Stintays, the GS and my Z06. Great product.

This is my opinion and experience on the thread's subject......
The ACS XL splash guards (actually referred to as Rock Guards) are rated as the best commercially available splash/mud/rock guards available for the wide body C7 Corvettes. They are made for the front and the rear wheels. The real issue on the wide body cars is the deflection of road debris from the front tires and beating on the rear quart panels and the rear brake ducts. The ACS XL guards are going to do a better job than anything out there. You can probably get away with the standard GM issue splash guards for the rear splash guards on C7 Corvette, the debris kick up is minimal there, but don't consider anything less than the ACS XL Rock Guards for the fronts.

I followed the directions in this thread using the O'Reilly product. I am happy with the results.

Before even having the car, by reading on the CF the opinions of the users, I made the choice ACS front rear and I do not regret it at all . The front is wider than the GM and goes lower in order to protect the rocker panel. The rear sold by ACS is the GM product, ACS does not do better but the advantage is that they sell it in complete kit.

I've actually had all 3 options installed on my car at one point. GM front splash guards, ACS extended splash guards, and now ACS XL rock guards and I can tell you without a doubt the ACS XL rock guards offer the most protection, appear to be the best made, and have the nicest appearance out of all 3. They come with carbon flash painted exterior that perfectly matches the GM carbon flash color. I have a video comparing the 2 ACS splash guards together so you can get a better idea of quality.

not true. They sell larger rears and in different material. I have their rears in carbon flash and they look amazing.

Correct. They only started recently offering their own rear Excel rock guards. before that they were selling their front enhanced splash guards with GM's rear splash guards which were much smaller, offered less protection, did not come with carbon flash paint, and stuck out only about half an inch.
