Default Moving on up to a Z06

After 4 great years of experiencing the '13 427 Convertible ownership , I yielded to temptation & technology. I found a '17 Z06 on-line, cars.com. Fresh trade, short sale. Only 600 miles. 7sp manual, 1LZ interior (very plain), Watkins Glen, color . What a RUSH! Very hesitant to give up the sleek beauty & power of the C6 but found the driving experience in the C7 with a SC, a whole new level. My thoughts, if so inclined to make a move & if you find the right deal...go for it.

I sorta envy you being able to give up a rag top. Good luck with it.

YES...a great/lucky find. Listed on cars.com for one day. Snapped it up but very suspicious of the mileage. After checking it out, saw no reason to doubt it. The A8 is very popular but I still wanna shift it. Rev match feature makes it even more fun & easy. Only negative is the 1LZ interior. Very plain. Excludes a number of features such as memory, heated, ventilated seats. Upgraded leather. Lumbar & bolster adjustments. Navigation & carbon fiber dash covers. Has the minimal aero package. The 2LZ & 3LZ packages are nice but bumps the MSRP considerably. Love the color combination.

Congrats to you!
Beautiful car, great find and color.
Nothing plain about any vette, especially a Z06!
You have great taste in your last two corvettes!!
I might be a little biased though 😁.
I too, went from a 427 that I bought in 2013 to a 2017 M7 WGG Z06 last year. Going on one year of ownership of my Z.
I had the 427 for 4.5 years and loved it. I do miss the ragtop sometimes but love the Z!!

Enjoy your beautiful beast!!😊

Tripleblack51,
Thanks...we're on the same page. Loved & missing my 427 Convert...but in a perfect world I would keep both. Am a visual guy. If the Vette doesn't have the right colors, options & wheel combination, not interested.

Nice car! That color looks great on a C7Z. How does the power of your C7Z compare to your 427?

Good question. Still trying to compare. Haven't pushed the C7 hard yet. Feels lighter, quicker & more agile than the C6. With a steel frame & more interior options, the C6 convertible might be heavier. Really liked the strong power curve & throatier exhaust of the bigger 427. On the other hand, the SC on the Z06 definitely kicks in as you get in the throttle & higher RPM range. Also more suspension/handling options on the C7. The cars are two different animals in my opinion.
