Z07 OEM brake pad options
I have a 17 C7 Z07, been searching the forums for aftermarket brake pads but I see a lot of brake pads for track use. Does anybody know what the best brake pads are for street use, if not i will most likely just order OEM brakes pads but there has to be some aftermarket ones that are good and cheaper? My OEM ones are worn down and have 30k miles on them and have not seen any track days.

Go with the OEM pads there could be issues with running pads that aren't designed to work with CCM rotors. The OEM pads are made by Pagid. Pagid also makes heavier duty race pads that work CCM rotors, those pads are a lot more expensive than the stock pads. Have you looked at how much the pads are on Amazon.

The Carbotech 1521 works but it is not a track pad.
The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use......Front: CT1395 $360Rear: CT1165ZR $258

Burning Brakes
I've run the Wagner Thermoquiets on my '72 for about 40 years and have no complaints. They are quiet and stop well. Not expensive like all the others.

planning to pick up a set of OEM pads .. .on amazon they appear to come with sensors. do you need new sensors, or are the original sensors usually ok to use again? can the new pads even be purchased without the sensors?

Check prices on C6 ZR1 CCM pads as they could be cheaper. The sensors on those pads are too short and would need to be spliced into the old harness. There are only two wires in the sensor, solder or crimp the two wires to the two wires in the old harness and you are good to go. If you don't mind not having sensors cut the old harness and short the two wires together. The system sets a warning if the sensor circuit is open. The short permanently closes the circuit.

I see the drum beat here THE CCBs LAST forever on the street is all hype! As I thought all along. I put 46k on steel pads and they were still great in fact brake pads go much longer than before you can see over 100k on them depending on the car and your driving. You are right they are pricy!
