Thank God we left MO on Fri. In AZ getting ready to drop my Z off for some work. Great ride down and I have to say this car is great for road trips.
White Sands NM. Looks like snow but it was 70 there when this was taken.
Vetted belong on Rt. 66

just got to Tucson in Sunday. Going to drop my Z off in PHX at CPR for a new supercharger along with heads and cam. Lived here 20 years. Loved the weather but better job took me back to the Midwest.

Just back from a 3,500 mile driving trip to Florida west and east coast, then up the east coast through South and North Carolina visiting lots of friends. (Took the BMW not the Z06). Weather was 80s and sunny the whole trip except one driving day to Seabrook Island SC. Drove straight home from Asheville NC (11 hours) instead of going to Louisville due to a forecast snow storm on the route Sunday (right decision). But it was minus 4 degrees here last night. Not what I was expecting or hoping for. Why do I still live here? The answer is I still have a wife and plan to keep her. For now. Oh well, maybe some improvement in the next month..... --Bob

Victor, it's 15 degrees here in Kansas City too. We got a couple of inches of snow overnight Saturday into Sunday.
I haven't seen my Stingray since mid-December.

Victor at least you and I have the loudest exhaust systems on our Zo6s so when the weather does finally break, the neighborhood will know it! LOL

It snowed 5 inches yesterday. I cleared it enough to take the Z out this morning. It was pretty nice out. Sunny and about 46 degrees. Melted nearly all the snow.
But my car was filthy when i got home. So all i did was washed it before putting it back under it's cover.
Now we're expecting another 6-8 inches tonight. I just hope most of it melts by next weekend so i can take out the Z again. And i'll just wash it when i'm done again.
Why do people hibernate these cars? lol makes no sense. Just wash the car when you're done.

I too take my car out year round when the roads are dry enough, the coldest I had mine out this winter was something like 20 degrees on January 1st. Just as you mentioned, wash my car at my house....I can fill a bucket with warm water in my kitchen sink and the hoses are hooked up outside and get used as long as there isn't ice in them lol!
Seems like St. Louis is probably good for a solid 8 months of driving give or take, they just aren't all optimal. I personally dislike rain more than snow, water slings up in every nook and cranny at least when you take the car out when it has snow on the ground you can often find dry roads to cruise.
Looking forward to hearing about your build when you get your car back!
