Guys, who is running the Mickey Thompson Street R 325/35-18 drag radial? I'm thinking of switching my 26" tall Hoosier DR2's to this 27" drag radial. I've been happy with the Hoosiers but I'm wondering if the 27" tire will help me at my power level? My best pass to date is a 10.09 at 138.5 on a 1.46 60'.
I'm running those tires. Had my best 60 and 1/8th ET early today.
1.41 60. Spectators said there was daylight under front tires on launch. Just my luck nobody recorded it.
6.41 ET
Sorry I didn't realize this thread was so old.

I run 325 18's that clear my carbon ceramic brakes using Signature monoblock 108's. The 2-piece SV307's won't clear b/c of the 1" smaller hoop. I love the ET Street R's! Not great in 1st gear but I'm near 1100 wheel horse so without a 15" conversion no way that will hook with any tire. But when hot they dead hook from 60+ rolls. This is my 4th ever draggy on pump gas with a manual trans. I'm sure on ethanol and with an A8 those would easily be mid to 4.3 60-130 times easy. They work. My Cup2's get sideways on me at 120+ mph in 3rd I felt very unsafe on the street with those. I road race so they work great on the track, but on the street I always run my ET Street R's, Except for in rain, they will kill you on wet roads I hydroplaned once nearly 400+ feet I was in shock how far it hydroplaned. Common sense clearly a dry weather tire, but I was caught in a quick pop up shower.

Getting caught in the rain that way is my only concern with those tires. They work great at the strip. And actually ride very good. I've got AS/3's on the front. Rides like a Cadillac in Tour mode.

I've seen some 1.3s 60 foot times with this tire. My personal best has been a 1.4 but I have since taken the camber out of the alignment to flatten the tire to the pavement. That should be the trick to get into the 1.3s on a 18 and make an 8 second pass.

You and Me both buddy. 1.41 PB so far. Also did alignment. Hoping for 1.3's next time out.
