Default Exhaust

Im curious what everyone is doing for exhaust. I was thinking of doing Headers, x pipe and axle back. Will this make my car too loud?

i think most think the mufflers and npp are pretty good. Probably the best bang for the buck is the catless mid pipe. And maybe headers. I am going to leave the exhaust alone. I think the money is better spent on a super charger upgrade from the stock smallish 1.7 Eaton to the magnuson 2300.

Stock sounds great and has a lot of versatility. Decide if you want to stay warranty and/or emissions compliant and that will guide your decision-making. My personal decision is I wanted more aggressive sound, no drone, emission and warranty compliant. I went with Corsa X pipe and Extreme axle back.

I did Akra evolution with Nor Cal cat delete pipes and am very happy with the sound. In track mode however it is very loud. Also the Akra system is very pricey.

Norcal cat deletes, Borla mid pipe, stock NPP. No drone and superb performance at a fraction of the cost.

Kooks all the way. Leave the mufflers alone.

I've got 2" catless TSP longtubes and xpipe going into the factory NPP. Even with the NPP valves open, it's pretty quiet unless you're WOT. I don't know what it is about the LT engine but when I had my LS3 Camaro with catless longtubes and no muffler (pretty much the same as open valves on stock NPP mufflers), it was insanely loud. I'm considering getting cutouts and placing them somewhere near the middle of the car with turndowns to get some more volume.

Full Kooks long tube headers with Akrapovic axle back.

Lets get you setup!

It keeps the OEM valves so you can go quiet mode.

Contact me with any questions!

Send me a message or text in the information below.

Send me your zip code as well, I just can't sell to people in CA due to exhaust restrictions.
