Anybody looking to trade up your Z for the new C8?
Hey guys, I know that GM won稚 announce anything until 7.18.19 but I知 curious if anybody is excited and looking to trade in or sell your Z for the new C8? As for myself I知 waiting to see the official release production car.

I'm convinced that there is no hope for the Corvette community just like there's no hope for this country. Everyone has become such an opinionated a-hole these days who has to draw a line in the sand that it's made this forum a truly awful place to be. I don't hate the C8, but I don't love it either. It definitely wasn't love at first sight like it was when I saw a picture of the C7 Z06. In time I'm sure it will grow on me and I'll probably have one, but it sure as hell doesn't turn the C7 into yesterday's news the way some people are portraying it does. It's a shame that people can't appreciate two different things at once rather than picking a side and being douchebags about it, but I guess that's where we are now.

I'm only interested in SEEING IT so well have an idea what the z06 version will be like.
And then hell yeah I'm dumping the c7z for a c8z. Why wouldn't you? Lol

I expect the C8 will be a great car and looking forward to seeing one. Like some of the other replies, I'll likely wait for a Z version. At the end of the day, I do love my '15 Z and would likely keep it as well. Some folks suggest the C7 values will tank and that may be true, however the joy I derive from whacking that throttle are enough for the C7 Z06 to stay in the family

Lol. I like the answers I’m hearing so far, but for many they must have the latest and greatest. I have plenty of friends who traded in or sold their C6z to have the latest C7 before the Z06 version was release back then. Just curious.

I'm buying one... I'll gladly take the standard car as a vert. I had 2 C5 Z06s and loved them. I don't care for the C7 Z06 and it's move away from the "trackday" version of the car. If the C8 Z06 returns to being lighter and faster I would be very interested. For a track guy like me, the Z06 lost it's way when it went supercharged, hot, and heavy.

Even if it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen I definitely wouldn't buy one in the first year. I had a '14 Stingray before my Z06 and fortunately it didn't have a lot of problems for a first year car, but with something like this I think they're gonna need a year or two before all the bugs are worked out. Plus I like my Z06 too damn much to even think about getting rid of it anytime soon.

No base model for me either. I will almost definitely be looking at the second car to be revealed. Plus, this concept is such a sea change that I want time to deal with the inevitable bugs and glitches.

I'm all in for the 2nd year, high horse car. Hope it's a Z06. I've been waiting for a mid engine Vette for many years. Love my Z06, but from what I know this C8Z will be a fantastic Corvette.

Yep, I am in for the C8Z variety. As much as I love her, bye bye to my C7Z. C6Z stays. And it will live on the track like all of my Corvettes.

It would be hard to go from Z to base. The 650 hp gets to be addicting. I like what I see from the C8 but will have to skip straight to whatever the higher performance model would be. I'm pretty sure there are plenty on here that bought the Stingray when it first came out and then traded/bought the Z afterward.

never buy the first year of a new model, especially when they delay the release of the new model. Not to mention there will be more demand than supply initially, driving prices up. I'm waiting at least a year after the new Z06 is released, and then would consider that but not a base model. Like most Z06 owners, I need a bit more exclusivity than base model offers.

I loved the first release of the c7 but I knew the z6 was going to be special. Same with the C8 I will wait until the z06 is produced because it will make the base c8 look run of the mill.
Z06's and ZR1's bring out the best in everything that is corvette!
