Default Z06 questions

I’m thinking of purchasing a 2017 Z06 . What if any long term problems current owners have experienced. I currently own a 2011 Grand Sport with 44000 miles and haven’t had a single problem. Are the Z06’s that reliable in general.
Thanks

Well guys I have taken your advice and purchased a 2017 M7 2lz Z06 today. Will pick it up next Monday since it’s over 800 miles away. Thanks for all the replies.
Now to sell the GS M6 Convertible .

I purchased a certified used, 17, Z06,M7, 1LT a year ago, no issues to date. I have 7 track days on it and really enjoy the car. Cup 2 tires not so much.
Last weekend, at Sebring with Chin, temps in low 90’s, no over heating issues.

I have a 2017 M7 ZO6 and the only long term problem i have is not being able to wipe the **** eating grin off my face every time i drive it. But in all seriousness i have not had a single problem with the car.

Bought my '18 with about 4000 miles on it. Have only put about a 1000 more on it. (However, will be putting about 1000 more on it next week going to the NCM Bash). Anyway, a problem I experienced right away and see it as a long term issue.........the Wife can see the speedometer from the passenger seat.

You didn't mention whether the 2017 you were looking at was an A8 or M7 transmission......if there is an Achilles heal it would be the A8 transmission in some cases, otherwise pretty bullet proof for a high performance sports car. All kinds of write ups on the A8....as for the M7, basically bulletproof as the rest of the car.

Just purchased a used M7 Z vert 10,000 miles last week in Minneapolis, drove it back to Michigan. Awsome car and no problems. I would highly recommend it.
Good luck

The leather dash (3LZ option) has come partially unglued in some C7 Z06. Mine has the same problem as the one shown in the video below. The local dealership claimed it couldn't be repaired and was not covered under warranty. They offered to replace the dash at a discount price of $1200. I plan to try the dealer I bought the car from to see if they can repair it (glue it back down).

2015 z06 3lz m7 z07. Bought brand new June 2015. 12500 miles. I drive to Carlisle every year with my dad and have done several track days at club motorsports, nhms, palmer and Thompson. Only issue i have had with the car is the heated and cooling with the seats. They realaced both. I don’t think they do much, may be the best they work. I have had my local dealer do all my prep work (high temp brake fluid, oil, alignment, replace clutch fluid, rear diff fluid.ect...) probably more than necessary. Car has been rock solid. No issues, get in it and drive anywhere. Only thing i would change with this car is a little more headroom and more competition out of the competition seats. I have to brace myself at the track to stay in the seats.
I have not had any of the overheating issue that everyone talks about. I don’t push the car all that hard at the track though. This car has so much power the only limiting factor is i need to be a better driver. Buy the car you wont regret it.

Had a rattle in my 17' Z06 coupe A8. Retainer clip in the headliner under the halo bar was bad. That's about it..

had same problem on a13 GS, 4LT. Hard to believe (well maybe not) they haven’t fixed this issue.
Some have had success with a fix at upholstery shops.
Good luck
