I often run 100 Octane unleaded in my '19 M7 Z, especially on the track - makes a noticeable difference even over the readily available 93 octane here. In really hot weather, I will often run it on the street as this car is far from my daily driver. Mero's previous posts only further the value of 100 Octane.
I have read a prior thread here about using Boostane Professional. It seems that this might be considered one of the better octane boosters, but it still leaves that orange residue. Of course its manufacturer claims that the "agent orange is minimal" but I still wonder if it has caused any long term issues for those who have used it for a while?

TIA for your responses..
I can confirm that it will turn your spark plugs and O2 sensors a shade of orange. I would guess this could cause premature wear of these parts. However, I have not heard of any long term negative effects on the fuel system or internal engine components from running Boostane.
I personally feel that in hot weather the risk of detonation in a forced induction motor increases, so additional octane is certainly a way to lessen the risk.
Buddy runs 2 cans of "race gas" per tank in his 2300 otherwise stock C7Z and is able to stay with his ms109 tune on the street by doing so. Like 20 bucks per can but the insurance it provides is worth it in his eyes having already had to foot the bill for a new diff. 40 bucks extra per month or so is peanuts.

We've had a few customers require cat converter replacement due to running various octane boosters. Of course they always say they're not running any octane boosters, but everything is orange when you open it up
I remember in the late '60s and early '70s I used to run Sunoco 260 in my '68 Hemi Road Runner (12.5 to 1 compression). It was 104 octane. Sunoco still sells the equivalent as Sunoco 260 GT Plus, 104 octane, in 55 gallon drums for about $510, or $9.27 per gallon. I believe I used to pay the ungodly sum of 35 cents per gallon back then. Sunoco also sells racing gas up to 116 octane.--Bob
I used Torco for 3yrs on my 13ZL-1 Camaro then Boostane for 1yr on my Z and no I’ll effects. The Boostane didn’t leave no where near the residue that Torco did but neither caused any malfunctioning of any systems.

I was 100% up front when I was shown the orange crap all over the cats.Had I known I would have never used it. It wound up eating both of my catalytic converters. Never used it again. On hot days at Thunder Hill I swear it had all all the power when using a can of Torco.. You can feel the car pull timing (I am assuming) when the outside temps get into the 90's with standard 91 octane.
Klotz is made with different stuff and it doesn't leave residue on plugs and other parts.
thier is a ingredient in torco and boostane that supposedly leaves a residue on your plugs and cats that Klotz does not use.i forgot what it is but I bet somebody here knows.
The 16 oz cans are perfect for refilling on a empty tank. I use one on every tank fill up with 0 problems 18,xxx+ miles no problems. Every now and then I won't add a can and just do 91 octane in case of build up. I will stop using once I add a little bit of E85 and a tune

Moving out west to Washington next month. Was going to run boostane when it was hot but not so sure now with all the orange residue.
That's pretty much the only reason why i did run it (ran torco and boostane) the past couple of summers, so i can have "extra protection" in case i wanna still have fun in the scorching hot weather.
