I have the satin black rims with the red stripe around the rim and want to change out chrome lugs for a set of satin black. Anyone do this? I cant seem to find satin or matte black lug nuts. Anyone know where i can get them?
If memory serves me correct, aren't some of the aftermarket lug nuts slightly smaller at the base? I thought I read somewhere here that they left a little unpainted area showing on the black wheels at the base of the lug nut. I've thought about buying a set of OEM lug nuts and having them powder coated.
Definitely all over the net but fitment and astectics is my concern.
That is why I have boxes of every lug made for gm cars and trucks, in chrome, black chrome and black, because the lugs have to match the wheels, and I have custom wheels on eerything I own
Black chrom lugs to match the black chrome wheels
Black lugs to match the black wheels
flat gray pearl lugs to match the wheels, flash made them look darker than they are in real life

Ordered mine from West Coast Corvette last week and received them yesterday. The set was $25, which includes 4 locking lug nuts. I haven't had a chance to put them on, but they look very high quality.
I put the new lug nuts on yesterday. As I said they're very high quality, but you can see a small portion of unpainted wheel at the base of the lug nuts. The set includes 16 black, powder coated lug nuts an 4 locking lug nuts. I'm not a big fan of locking lug nuts, so I ordered another set so that I can just use all regular lug nuts. I'm not sure why all the aftermarket lug nuts are slightly smaller. You would think that someone would take the OEM lug nuts and powder coat them. Just food for thought for any of you lug nut suppliers out there. Again, quality parts and fast service from West Coast Corvette.
Jason, would love to put these on my VX1Rs - how much weight do they save over stock and can they be used on the track? It was my understanding they couldn't.

You are partially to blame why my '19 Z06 now has Forgeline VXR1s and a full Akro Evo Ti exhaust. You are a bad influence on me!!

I don't remember how much stock ones weigh, but those are 16g each.
They can be used on the track. Used on my C7 Z06 time attack car for years.

I believe it was a net savings of 1.5 lbs total per car. I have these unpainted on my car and have tracked it with them several times this year without issue.
