Default A couple of Z06 questions

My 2017 Z06 has ceramic rotors. I found a box of 4 styrofoam rotor covers. What and when are they used?
My car has the black wheels with the red stripe and I want to buy a set of factory Z06 chrome wheels. Is there a difference in wheels on a car with ceramic rotors vs steel rotors?
Thanks.

No difference on the wheels. Send them to me if you don’t want them
i believe the foam pieces are protectors when you’re changing wheels so you don’t chip the rotor

Foam strips are protectors for the rotors when removing and installing the wheels. The edges of the rotors can be a bit brittle, you dont want to bang the wheels on the rotors, otherwise you are spending LOTS of money to replace a rotor.
