What a surprise when I read your sweet note you left me....I am so ashamed! Regardless of the fact that I didn't know this cardinal rule, I find it somewhat simple minded that anyone (especially me!) would go to a thread as old as the one you reference (it's over 10 years old by your count) and respond to it. If you look a little closer, quick draw, you will see my original thread here and I'm surprised you didn't already see it ...

One of the Forum members, Bill Dearborn had responded to my thread, which started just one week ago and I intended on responding a "thanks" back to him. Apparently in my haste, I didn't notice that the system hooked me into the next closest related thread, which was this 10+ year old piece (I apparently drove thru my own thread) and I answered Bill Dearborn there. I apologize to Bill for my error and thank you for pointing out so vividly my obvious mistake. Thank you for your attention in this matter.
No need to apologize for the weirdness of the forum software. I have mine set to show the earliest post in a thread and not to show related threads. It helps improve forum presentation but I still get caught out on things. Hope you have your problem solved.

Bill

Not solved yet, Bill, but I'm working on it. I bought my latest Z06 from Criswell in Maryland, a very large Corvette dealer. I live in western PA and have a local Chevrolet dealer who sells Corvettes, very few every year, maybe a half dozen at best. I have reached out to Mike Furman of Criswell fame, their specialist in Corvette sales, although I didn't buy from him (unfortunately I wasn't aware of his prowess in the Corvette sales world). Anyway, Mike has suggested I speak with one of Criswell's ace techs with Corvettes and I am in the process of trying to speak with this individual. I'm kind of jumping the gun a bit, but the soap test revealed nothing and this slow leak persists....I will be seeing my local Chevrolet dealer as soon as the weather clears a bit. I may get lucky with them, they find the problem and fix it (even if it is a cracked wheel and Chevrolet agrees to replace it), but that seems like it would be too good to be true, without a hassle. So I'm gearing up mentally for an argument and I'm sure I'll need Criswell's help. I'll see first hand how smart it is to buy from a major out of town Corvette dealer when you experience a problem. But I did buy my new 2016 Z06 from this group several years back, so they do know who I am. I'm fastening my seat belt, this ride could get bumpy..........

So call me a dick but... Man you are totally over blowing this. Setting up special contacts and connections for a tire leak? Jesus it's like the most basic of all basic things in the automotive world and absolutely nothing Corvette specific. You're going to waste hours of your and everyone else's precious time for something that is going to be diagnosed in 2 min. Whoooooosaaaw. It will be alright. I'm speaking professionally from the service side of the counter.... Just call the whoever you want to work on it, tell them you have a slow leak and go from there. This isn't rocket science.

Had the exact same problem with the GoodYears on my C6. The soap test, the dunk test, the visual test all found nothing. I just learned to live with it; putting in a couple pounds every month or so. Put up with it for almost two years. Time to replace them and the dealer found a wire nail (the kind they use to put down wood flooring) in the center of the tread pattern. I was relieved and bummed at the same time. Least it wasn't a defective wheel like I'd been told.

These tires are Soft. As you posted, yours are/were new and original. These tires are metal magnets and suck up metal road trash very easily. Once a "nail" penetrates, the head will wear off quickly and the body of the nail will sort of embed itself in the soft rubber, specially new rubber.. The air leak will be quite slow and very hard to find unless you dismount the tire and inspect the insides. I've just turned 50k on my 2017 Z06 and the original driver's rear tire and its replacement have both picked up nails. Now, almost every morning when I start up, I set the PDR and check tire pressure. This morning pressure check is how I found both punctures.

Thanks Oldphart, that's a good tip and once we have the wheel/tire off, we'll be checking for everything.
Atljar, I actually appreciate your comments, but I do have some reasons for getting everyone involved primed for an argument, although I may be getting too excited too early. This air loss is consistent and the other 3 tires hold there pressure for months...and I know because I check them weekly with a quality tire pressure gauge. A few months ago, I had a few minor non warranty things done to this car from a mechanic who has his own business....this guy is outstanding and has a great shop. I asked him to check for a nail in that suspect tire and he couldn't find anything...but the tire was not dipped in a water tank. I've soap tested the air valve and it's tight and the valve itself is not lose...no bubbles anywhere.
I'm taking it into the dealer next week and hopefully they'll find the problem. My agitation and concern comes from the numerous stories that have been written about cracked Z06 wheels...and Chevrolet Warranty's high reluctance to accept a claim for that. I hope you are correct and it's a simple fix. Until then, I'll try to chill out (although it won't be easy!).

When I had this issue in my Z06 BOTH times it was a cracked rim. Back and forth to the dealer over and over. 2 cracked rims and 6 bent rims in last 2K miles.

Forgelines go on Monday. Hope that ends this nightmare.

Argument with GM went all the way to the top....letter to Mary Barra which triggered a call from executive office. After some back and forth they refused to help me. Told me that they had "inspected" my wheels and that there was no manufacturing defect. I asked them how they could inspect my wheels since the car is in my garage. They are obviously full of **** and this is a party line lockstep response. They suggested I buy new GM wheels. I told them that I'd rather sell the car.

I would say there is a really good chance your wheel has a very small crack. I had a similar issue and just filled air and use my wheel for months until I hit a large pot hole on a run and the pressure loss became more. Took it to the dealer and they denied the claim and quoted me $795 for a new wheel plus mounting. Said no and brought vehicle home. A buddy of mine and I found someone selling Zo6 wheels, all 4 of them, for $1200 and bought it. I replaced mine with one of those and repaired the original one. We now have several spares as I know for a fact it will happen again.

New 2019 that hasn’t yet had the 500 mile break in oil change currently is showing 27 psi in rear passenger tire while all others are 35pei. Tire lost 8psi in two weeks.
Car has never hit a pot hole or experienced other significant bumps since I have bought it. If these wheels are really this cheap, no wonder there is a class action law suit against GM. My 2014 Shelby has forged wheels from the factory which was great because I never had to worry about when a stock wheel would bend or crack just by driving down the road.
