Default Front tire alignment

Is the alignment of front tires on a Z06 much more complex than others cars?
or more specifically, should I go to a chev dealer that specializes in Z06s, for alignment, or can a good chain tire store do an alignment?

They are no more complicated than any other Corvette of similar year, they utilize a double A-Arm system. Technically any alignment shop should be able to do it but that's dependent on the technicians they have. I would venture to a specialized Corvette shop just to know they know what they're doing, some dealerships are questionable. If you want to take the task on yourself you can check us out at:

Should be easier than a BMW. The only issue is the rear caster measurement which isn't included in the alignment machine. Rear caster requires two more tools than the standard alignment usually has. A digital angle gauge and an adapter that adapts the gauge to the rear knuckle at the proper vertical reference.

Other than rear caster the alignment procedure and tools required on the C7 are identical to the procedure and tools required to align a C5 that is over 20 years old. No special expertise required, just common sense. I do my own and I am not certified to be any kind of mechanic. All it entails is turning bolts and watching gauges.

The reason some people charge a lot more to set rear caster is it is a touchy adjustment and it takes at least an hour more to do an alignment if you are measuring and setting rear caster.
