There are a few but Edge Addicts & The List HPDE do fun, casual track days @ MSRC.
ECR has open track days once or twice a month now for non-members. (or they have been doing so recently.)

You can use this site to help find events at these tracks that don't require a membership: https://www.motorsportreg.com/

Also Apex Driving Academy for MSRC, The Drivers Edge, Chin Motorsports to name a few others. Porsche Club also will do HPDE events at both places. You dont need a Porsche to run with them. Its especially fun to bring a vette to those, since we eat Porsches for breakfast. And lunch.

The driver's Edge if you are a novice level, does msr and ecr
edge addicts does msr and cota
Pca does msr and ecr
Apex driving academy does msr and ecr
Chin track days does ecr and cota
The List does msr
Ecr has their own open track days

I think that covers all groups.

Saw you out there Saturday but didn't get to run with ya! I only got 1 session in and got this out of it. Tried again in the afternoon but there was way too much traffic so I ran low 18s passing people.

Cooling thread = 198 max coolant . But it was 65 out haha.

With the below in mind now you can predict your car could be in the 15s when you get more reps in! I just remembered I got your pdr. Let me match them together. Two 1:16.7 laps.

Yep. I was there trying to complete my testing and take the car home. It was just about done, and the Apex guys gave me the ok to run the 1.7 on the last session. Car just wouldn't run to even get me out of the grid. High pressure fuel pump just stopped working. But I was able to manage a personal best over the on the 1.3 just prior.

1:16 is a sensational lap time, btw. Great job!

Ah sorry about the troubles. Hope it gets fixed quick! And wow. Great spot for the incar camera. Why didn't I think of that, steering angle doesn't matter when you can actually see the steering hahah

yeah if i can the damn thing to stop spinning around it would great. Generally its software controlled, but somehow the software goofed up and I couldn’t get it stabilize too well manually.

what tires were you running Saturday? Those were some big speed numbers you were carrying through ricochet and big bend.

Michelin 30/33 s9m slick scrubs (pirelli DH equal in terms of grip in my testing). The fronts were on their 10th heat cycle (in my hands, probably 12-14 total) and corded on this session. The rears were on their first heat cycle in my hands (probably 3-4 total). I actually had them hit 33-34 psi my fastest laps and that goes against everything I knew about optimal grip for slicks (usually I hear 29-30 for optimal)

Yea I was surprised to see 130 mph but it was definitely because I was coming out of big bend fast, verified by Aim Solo. PDR reads 1 mph slow at 130 mph so it's negligible in my book (oem diameter is 675 mm vs 680 mm on these tires).

Bruno & other track rats,
I run a daily driven 2017 Z06 M7 with Mich 4 or Cup2
still under GM warranty for 2+ years
motor and cooling is all stock. my OEM radiator is the 1.3inch version and yes has the aux cooler

Here's my temps from some 2020 track days, Barber was hot and humid,
Q: Are my engine oil temps too high?

My 2 cents: I'd try not to exceed 240 degrees F for coolant, and 290 degrees F for oil for longevity of all your car's components (think water pump, cats, exhaust, etc.). You start losing quite a bit of power past 230 degrees F coolant, so you're already handicapped a bit. Longevity-vise, since your coolant temps did not much exceed 240, and oil never hit 290 degrees F, I suppose you're OK.

That’s hotter than I’ve ever run. I’d change your 15W-50 pretty often if running up there, cheap insurance.
I’ve replaced my stock auxiliary cooler with the dewitts, 32-C7AUX. Not a direct comparison but similar track days and I think it dropped water & oil 5-7 degrees.

I bled my super charger expansion tank VERY well, added some water wetter, and raised the coolant/water ratio to approx. 30/70. I also wrapped the exhaust near the tranny and on a 93* track day my water, oil and tranny max temps were: 226*,270*,207* as a comparison.

I added the Secondary Radiator to my 2015 M7 before I ever took it to the track. I have lots of PDR data showing coolant running in the high 2teens or low 220s and oil running from the high 260s to the mid 270s in ambient temps varying from the mid 40s to the mid 90s.

Overall, I think your coolant and oil temps are fine. However, with some of your coolant temps getting close to 240 degrees I would think about changing the coolant mix to something like a 30/70 mix of Dex/Water. One thing I noticed when I went from the Mobil 1 15W50 oil to the new Mobil 1 0W40 Dexos 2 ESP oil was an ~ 5 degree drop in coolant and oil temps.

Bill, Is your Z a 2015? You’re not under warranty on the track with 0W40...
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-use-gm-3.html

A 2017 GS owner blew his motor on track and was denied due to using 0W-40.
