Anyone else on the Forum have a worn plastic Auto shift ****? Mine is wearing on the edges and it surprised me when I saw how worn the Corvette logo edges are. I know this stuff is just plastic but was wondering if anyone else notices the wear? Can these little caps on the shifter be replaced without replace the entire mechanism? I have a Z06. I just drive my Vert like a normal person. I do rest my hand on the shifter sometimes. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a hand rest! Anyone else notice this on theirs?

Reason: Spelling
I do not have any wear, but I also never touch the shifter unless I am shifting from auto mode into manual mode or reverse or park. The rest of the time my hands are in position to use the paddle shifters....at 3 and 9 positions. I guess I got into the habit of not resting my hand on the shifter in my previous Z06s that were manual cars. It is very bad to keep your hand on the shifter when not shifting in a manual as it can put stress on your syncros. Keeping your hand on the shifter on an automatic can cause an accidental bump into neutral or manual mode both of which could cause a high rev.
I really wish someone would make one out of billet aluminum that would have a lil more feel to it when shifting into drive, but anyways yes it can be replaced and surprisingly it’s not to expensive fleabay has them.
Like 100 bucks or so and cake to replace. Just needntrin removal kit with 3 flat pry tools. When you receive the new one you can see where to pry (on any given corner) to get the boot up and then its slight twist and pull. Like a 5 minute job.. Pic of my black suede design shift **** when i removed it from my 16 Z06 which was all leather 3LZ style (the alcantara steering wheel is in background also black suede design package new from gm).
