Looking for some advice on how to launch this thing. Car is a 2017 Z06 A8 car making 870whp/930wtq on the bottles. Tires are a 345/30/19 nt05r. Car has a z07 package also with CCB.
Last time at the track I couldn't get any better than a 1.65 60' and car went 10.3@138mph on a small shot (790whp) tires were down to 18psi, burnout to heat them up, foot brake and gas to 1300rpm then leave. All nannies turned off.
Any suggestions on how to improve my 60'? I'll be at the track again Saturday hunting that first 9sec pass lol
Yes, get rid of those tires "NOW". I have used them in the past and for daily street driving they are fine; handle fairly well and will last longer than other drag radials. BUT they are the worst drag radials I have ever used for traction or rather the lack of traction.
I would go with a MT drag radial, I like the one with a real street tread design in case it rains. However MT makes another street rated one with the straight cuts that is a little better for traction. You may want to look at the Hoosiers too.
I only turn the "traction control" off. I have tried tuning both off but my et did not improve and if the car gets out of control going down the strip (slick spot) leaving the second one on may save your bacon! OH, and if you don't spin at 1300 rpm launch than "I" would try higher.
BOTTOM LINE: Change the tires; AND "WHOOP" THERE IT IS (9's).
PS: If you don't have front "skinnies" rims & tires you may want to try a light setup; usually worth a tenth to one and a half in the 1/4 mile.

If he goes with 18" rims he will need to find the ones that will work with the larger CCB. My 18X12" stock offset OEM clones will not clear the CCB calipers.

Look into the Forgeline wheels. My 18 x 12 Forgeline GS1R wheels weren't that expensive, clear my CCB's (Z07), and were about 5 pounds lighter than stock. I bought them from Gerry at Custom Wheels for Less.

It's an option but idk, if I'm gonna spend $1600+ on wheels just to drop to a 18" wheel why not just spend a little more and go 17" and welds is how I feel lol.
Mine will 60 Ft. into the 1.40's launching from an idle with the recommend tires.
My Z06 has the iron brakes, but there is lots of room in the barrel.
I have the Forgestar F14's.
Jake at Vibe Motorsports can help you out.
