This is how I set up my C6 Z06 and now my C7 Z06. I used a 6' extension by Deltran to run the cord out the front grill. Permanently hooked up the positive and negative connections with ring attachments under the hood and ran the quick connect end out through the grill. I never have to open the hood. Easy to plug/unplug to ensure that battery is always 100% charged. I just bend the connection back inside the grill when not in use.

Carnac, thank you for such a thorough explanation on the benefits of using a Battery Tender. Your explanation covers all the facets of why using a Battery Tender makes complete sense. Some may still believe using one is not necessary or a waste of money, but as I read it, your explanation couldn't have been any clearer. Thank you!

Even though full ppf i still have the cord woth a glued microfiber around it.. yet the car is dirty. Ocd is a strange issue.

Positive terminal to fuse block

Negative terminal to sump tank

Quick connect

How i leave it..

I'm still looking for that easier hook up?

but if i had one i may forget and leave it hooked up and drive of . So the hood cracked keeps me engaged.

You call this easier than being plugged into the hatch outlet? And for those who are afraid of the hatch location and driving off without unplugging it, I have the same fear of leaving the gas station and driving off without putting the hose back on the pump....oh yeah, I also fear driving out of the garage without putting the garage door up. I think this thread is drifting into The Twilight Zone

Nah. I don't like to close my hatch on a power cord.y mom taught me better.. and I certainly wouldn't leave that hatch cracked and let all the "new" smell out bro.

Took me 10 minutes to hook up the quick connect permanently. For some it mat work better through hatch but not me.
