Hey all, I have 18 Z only mod is an x pipe and katech PTB. I really want that sound from a bigger cam. What’s the best way to go? I want it to be drivable on the street and reliable. I only have 2200 miles on the Z since I bought it brand new. So don’t drive it much. Need that looping sound to make the driving experience more enjoyable when I do take it out. Any suggestions? I live in DMV area. Closer to DC. Any shops?
The real question is how much are you willing to pay for that "sound". Most reputable shops can install the cam; the tuner is "the person" who is going to make your package reliable. As for the DC area, sorry I can't answer that question. You might want to see if there is a local Corvette club with recommendations and do a "whole" lot of research.

Idk for a car that low of a mileage I would just enjoy it with the lots of active warranty you have left..or at least wait another full year for the debut of the c8z, you might find yourself putting your name on the order list.
I'm on my 3rd cam since the original. The 2nd one I had did much better in the mid-range, which is what I asked for at the time. I was auto-crossing and road racing a lot. Now I have just changed to a cam better suited for drag racing. The specs weren't a big difference except in the LSA was 116 in the first aftermarket cam and the new cam is LSA 112. I'm still doing break in miles right now, but I can feel the new one has much more power down low. I think the previous cam may have "sounded" better, but the power band is going to be much better at the drag strip.
And I now want a cam that makes more power, I'm no longer concerned with the "sound", but it still sounds pretty good anyway. JMHO

My buddy just took his '18 Camaro to a shop in Baltimore called Late Model Performance for an intake, flex fuel kit, and tune and came away super impressed. My friend is ridiculously picky and was over the moon happy with their work. He said there were a bunch of vettes there and that the shop seemed to know their way around LT engines pretty well. I'll probably go check them out this spring
If you are not worried about the warranty... absolutely get a cam installed. I will never go back ! The Z06 gets attention everywhere and definitely much more attention after the lope
