Default Corsa active exhaust review

Has anyone had this exhaust yet? The Corsa active 14777BLK I think is the part number for the sport to extreme exhaust valve command.

Have two customers getting and installing theirs this week. I'll ask them to chime in.

Any questions you have?

I would be very curious to see how much difference there is with the valves open and closed.

I’m sure it’s a huge difference but what I’m wondering is if the quiet mode is relatively close to the stock quiet mode or if it’s still quite a bit louder.

^I'd be interested in this too. I need the quiet mode for leaving for work pre-6am and not wanting a bunch of neighbors pissed at me, otherwise I never use it, but that's the only thing holding me back from getting a better exhaust because I think the loud mode stock could sound a lot cooler than it does.

One of our local customers currently has the Corsa x pipe paired with the Corsa extreme axle back. For the same reasons as you guys, he is wanting to change his the xtreme axle back for the xtreme valved axle back.

We will be installing the exhaust hopefully today so I can record some clips and give you guys personal insight on the sound differences. Stay tuned!

Installed the first one outside of corsa's testing. The video goes from loud to quiet, on the loud rev it goes quiet because the mic couldn't pick it up. Insane difference. Give me a shout if you want to get one coming!

how would you compare this to the akra system? On noise level closed vs open?

I really interested in how it sounds vs a corsa extreme. I have the extreme and love the way it sounds, but like everyone else with loud exhuast its hard to leave the house early in the morning

Would there be any knock under WOT if it went from loud to quiet? I'm trying to figure out how to add more power to the C7 Z06 and still work with tracks that have noise limits.

Open it sounds exactly like the extremes. This car had extremes and loved it but received a Home Owners Associate complaint so that’s why we made the switch to the Corsa Valved system

The extreme is definitely louder than Akra. Closed both are pretty similar.

Sounds very similar to the Corsa extreme.. like very similar.. The new exhaust is a little louder but I believe its because its brand new. Needs to be broken in.

There two outlets per muffler so the exhaust isn't completely shut, just go through another muffled exhaust outlet. Can't imagine its the best under track conditions.

It’s not going to help you with track db’s. It operates off of the factory control unit so it will open up at WOT.

you can use the same x-pipe if that’s what you are asking. Otherwise it’s pretty much a buy the new one and sell your take off xtremes to recoup some cash
