Default Best wheels option for C7 Z06

I am trying to get a line on parts and prices for once we pick up a C7Z in the next 2-3 months. With that what are some decent but affordable wheel options for the C7Z? I was going to use the HRE Flow Form series but they dont offer them in the C7Z sizes. I am considering the BC Forged line and maybe the Forgeline brand. Was really hoping to keep the replacements under the $4k range if at all possible. Any suggestions for some other reputable brands that you all can share with me?

We offer these wheels. Lot of happy Z06/Grand Sport owners in here that replaced their cracked OEM wheels with this.

You have a "local" vendor in Texas, finspeed.com, and I believe they have a sale underway at present. A set for your Z06 won't be under $4K but their wheels are excellent quality and less expensive than many of the other brand name forged wheels. And they'll build them to your specs if you have specific requirements (as I did) and their customer service is exceptional. I have a set for my Z06 and the wheels are terrific both in appearance and performance.

Trying to keep your cost under $4k, don't fall for the ole' "spun forged" wheels. That's what the OEM wheels are...and they are not true forged wheels. You want monobloc forged, or you might as well keep the OEM wheels.

I'm not fully going to believe that you have to use a fully forged wheel for street use. I have been on a set of HRE Flow Formed wheels (20x10F and 20x11R) for 3 years, not once have the wheels had any issues with wheels being bent or cracked in any of the driving I have done. The issue with the OEM wheels is the manufacture ran the casting to thin more than likely to save weight, and they took that material from the bead area of the rim which then sacrificed structural integrity and strength.

There is right areas to try and reduce weight and wrong areas, seems the manufacture went the wrong way on their choice.

@TJay74 I just purchased some BC Forged wheels for $3250 shipped, brand new from a vendor. If you want information about that, PM me. I'll be happy to help a former 6th gen SS 1LE owner, like myself, out with such an endeavor.

I looked at Forgestar as I have a set of their rear wheels for my Camaro. When I got the price and inquired they are a cast made wheel so I am going to pass on them at this time.

Understood. I'm only drag racing now, so I don't need a super exspensive or strong wheel.

Yes, the weight savings were very important to me, along with strength. I believe they were supposed to be $4500, normally.

I too have had Finspeeds “F5 Spyder ultralights” in stock sizes and completely agree with rhneff.

F14s

I have the F14's as my rear drag setup on my Camaro. Just not a fan of them for the quality and caliber of wheel I am going to want for a C7Z.
