Engine Tick Should I Be Concerned?
I'm currently looking at a 2016 z06 with 26k miles and on the fence of buying it. The car drives solid and the power is definitely there. I noticed a slight tick noise at idle when standing next to the engine with the hood open. I could only hear it when standing on the passenger side of the engine and wasn't able to hear it at the drivers side. Their carmax techs are supposed to take a listen to it but idk how much experience they'd have with this engine to know if it's something abnormal. Unfortunately I don't have a video of the noise but maybe based on the information I gave someone will know if it's a normal sound for these engines or something that could be serious?
