Brake Calipers
Anyone know if calipers for carbon and steel brakes are the same and mount the same and clear the wheels the same? That is, are they interchangeable?

They are not the same size, but you can interchange them if you change the rotors with them. Or you can get a larger diameter steel rotor that will work with the carbon calipers. I don't know all the details, but just telling you the little that I do know.

djnice thank you. I should have asked the question differently: What does it take to switch from carbon to steel brakes without changing calipers? If possible.

You need iron replacement rotors designed to fit:

You will also need different pads. For track duty, I'd recommend ST43s or ST47s (which is the one I use). Many pad choices here:
