The roads were mostly empty being Monday, car did perfect, I was 10-20 mph over the limit. Curves with 20 mph limit signs, 35 mph with no problems. I drove fast but nothing crazy because mywife was riding with me.

I washed it Friday night and it kept clean all weekend, wheater helped.

I enjoyed the "documentary" of your trip. I lived in Alice a while back. Not much there today. I have been on some of the same roads and visited some of the same places. Surprised there was "nothing" there in Llano. I think there is at least 3-4 good BBQ places there.

I knew about it, but it was to early for a BBQ so I skipped.

I left many places pending for a future trip

Excellent recap of your road trip. I live in Horseshoe Bay, near Marble Falls and have done most of the roads. Question....how was the Twisted Sisters? We did it a couple of years ago but have recently heard they put in a bunch of speed bumps on the route......did you see any problems?

I don't remember any speed bumps, just some cattle guards between the ranchs, but nothing bumping.

The route is fun, the roads were almost just for me, I didn't stuck with any slower traffic.

I am editing the dash cam videos, is almost 2 hrs. without the TX-41. I will speed it to 2.0x to get 1 hr video and upload it to YouTube.

I will share it soon.

Thank you so much for the tips. I have many more pictures, but just selected few for the documentary.

Any exotic animal sightings? This summer most of us saw zebra and one of the ladies on the trip saw a kangaroo. There's some fun stuff wandering the hills now.

I just uploaded the video, reduced the resolution because is too long.

You can skip to those minutes to see the most interesting part of each road (the ones that I marked in red in the map) 337 W was stuck behind a sheriff SUV, fortunately he was not driving slow 8)

15-23min Rd335 N

34-42min Rd336 S

45-49min Rd337 E

Is edited to 2.0X to be more watcher friendly and avoid copy rights claims for the music. I accidentally left 4x in minute 49, looks and sounds funny 😊.

Enjoy.

And just think, 4 months ago some people would have been outraged you went on a road trip and did "unnecessary travel"
fast forward to today, literally nothing has changed and it's cool

Good idea. We mostly had the advantage of passengers for tourist functions.

We took a trip to the Smokeys/Virginia last month and many/most of the innkeepers and some of the restauranteurs thanked us for being tourists. Some of the hotels we stayed at were only about 15% occupied.
