When in Stealth mode, should the exhaust valves ever open?
On my stingray, I swear they always stayed closed. On my ZO6, they open ~3500rpms, while in stealth mode. My service dept is saying "as-designed functionality".
it says right in the manual when they open in stealth
I thought it was higher than 3500 but they do open at some point in stealth
I don't have any references in front of me right now so don't hold me to this.
Like you said its around 3500rpm or so but it also depends on the throttle percentage.
I think it comes out to when the PCM sees both greater than 3600rpm and 75% throttle.

May not be 100% correct but you get the point.
Sounds like what I'm experiencing .. and service dept says "they have to open under hard throttle at some point, or too much back pressure builds up".
They definitely open on full throttle acceleration when in Tour mode. I leave mine in Sport mode so they are open on startup and until I back off on acceleration or it gets into a higher gear. --Bob
Ran in Stealth Mode on Saturday. Valves didn't open with RPM hitting 4K + although was not in any place where I could go wide open throttle. Got to about 60% throttle but not enough room to do anymore.
I’ve had my car in stealth mode and up to around 4krpm with light throttle with out them opening. If you are accelerating at a certain % of throttle then they will open sooner.
