I have that happen every once in a while. Doesn't bother me that much. It usually picks it back up fairly soon.

Sounds like you may have a sensor battery getting low. How old are the sensors on the car? One of the first indications of a low sensor battery is intermittent missing pressure readings. Especially when the sensor is cooler Vs hotter like it would be after driving 25 miles.

Bill gave you the answer to your issue. Don't shoot the messenger you asked for his help.
The battery in the TPMS sensor for that wheel is starting to get weak.

Just curious, will installing different valve stem caps interfere with the TPS?

I have TPMS sensors that are less than 6 months old and one of mine does this. Usually goes out for about 5-10mins then sees it again. Also comes back if I turn the car off and back on again. Doesn't always happen, usually only on longer drives.

The only time I had a similar problem was with a C6 GS and it only happened when my wife was using the USB port in the console to charge her phone. Couldn't give you any rational idea why that occured. You never know what might be related.

I had an 11GS that did that sometimes as well. I never checked the USB ports. May have been the same thing.

Each TPMS sensor contains a battery.

Even though the sensor has not been in service long it is possible the battery is defective and is causing the problem.

Have you installed after market side markers? These can sometimes interfere with TPMS readings, especially from the right front wheel.
