Default Katech 174 stat question

I am adding the dewitts aux cooler to my z06. I figured while I was in there id throw a katech 174 thermostat in. Does anyone have any experience if the tach still works correctly. I dont want the redline to be lower because the engine isnt hot enough. I only drive the car when its above 55 degrees or so im not worried about winter or anything. From what ive noticed, the tach fully unlocks at 163 but I some real reviews of it.

The 174 thermostat is designed to work without a tune. Once warmed up the tach will not have a limited redline.
