I just purchased a set of 1 of 1 180 degree headers. It will give the car a different sound. I think the c8 z06 will sound similar to this set up. Let me know your thoughts I will be posting videos soon on my instagram give me a follow @z07c7 I am also installing a eddlebrock 2650 with port injection from Crawford expecting big power.

Thanks the hood is from competition carbon. Khoa who owns signature wheel also owns this company. Tune will be done remotely by Crawford racing. Install will be done by arcebuilt
I'm wildly jealous. I've wanted a 180 degree header setup for quite some time. Each place I speak with about it, just grunts and says that its worthless, etc., because standard applications already exist. Keep us posted, if you could.
I wanted a set for years. Shop quoted me 10k for a pair a few years back. My buddy had a pair made and removed them for his SEMA build I was fortunate to pick them up at a discount. I’ll keep you posted.
I wonder how hard would it be to modify a set of regular headers??
I've spoken to a couple of shops about that. At first, they looked at me like I was crazy but really, it's not as crazy as it sounds. Take a set of existing headers, measure the primary length before the collector, cut off the collector, and create a single merge pipe down below--really, the stacked setup they have here isn't necessary. Just ensure that the firing order of the collector is advantageous for scavaging. You'd effectively have an 8-into-1 exhaust setup doing that. Or, you could still go with the 180 design using the first two steps and create the collector a bit further down. After taking a look at what I was describing, the consensus was that it would certainly work but, they were apprehensive about tackling the job.
Very unique set up. I wonder if it will perform any better or sound different. It won't sound like a C8 Z06...thats a flat-plane crank engine. Very different sound but with the unique collector on those headers I think you'll have a sound of your own.
It will sound a bit like a flat plane. When doing this you are simulating that type of firing order. Blending the particular cylinders to smooth out the pulses. I don't know the formula but its important to join the cylinders from opposite sides of the motor that are firing at the same time. They go to the collector .... then join & scavenge after that.
Definitely more exotic on the sound at least.
A few years ago there was a Youtube video with a blue C6 fitted with 180* headers. Sounded pretty good. Screaming like a banshee. More of a F1 Howl.

exactly I can’t wait. The hood really allows you to hear the blower scream as well.
