Default Cai

Hello all! Im a proud new owner of a 17 C7 ZO6 manual 7spd.
Its all stock and I wanted to start modding her up. I was thinking about a CAI and wondering if these cars would even benefit from it or should I just replace the filter with a K&N.
I live in (shithole) Cali so it would have to come with an E.O. number.
Thanks, Semper Fi!

i would stay away fro. oiled filters, at least i am.
there are at least 2 well known intakes. AFE, Halltech
and 2 well known stock intake filter replacements. bms and attack blue

I just got the holley intech intake because i liked the design and the look of it, dont expect tons of hp and tq but expect a few to go along with the xpipe i also got as well.

I'm still running my Attack Blue and have tried a couple of the supposedly top CAIs and they were either poor fitting or didn't make as much power as what I had. Stay with the Blue and you should be good to go.

I have the attack blue filter and corsa x-pipe. Good warranty friendly mods that wake up the car a little.

I have the AWE X-Pipe and did a drop in Green Filter..

Not sure the BMS or Attack Blue filters are any better than the Green Filter but bottom line is the stock intake is pretty good along with an upgraded filter.

Purchased my 17Z M7 2 months ago. I went with the attack blue and Soler TB and it really helped the 1st gear fall on your face feeling.

I have the gm performance air box. Installation was easy and it fit perfect. Also installed a corsa x pipe. Not sure it added any power but I like the additions for a few reasons. The gm performance intake has a clear lid on top which lets you see the filter. In order to see the filter on the stock air box you need to unbolt it to the car which is a pain. My buddy has the gm air box and saw a dead mouse in there. Without the window he would not have known the mouse was there. I also like the look of the gm air box with the corvette Jake symbol on it. The x pipe sounds amazing with the stock exhaust. Not too loud and lots more pops on deceleration which makes me smile. Just my .02
