Am I missing something here? I went to lock my wallet in the glove box but there's no lock. Is there anywhere inside the car that locks? Sometimes if I'm running into a store and have the top off I like to lock stuff in the glove box.
Never tested it out, but the manual says the display screen storage area and glove box will both lock when the valet mode is enabled. (Optional equipment)
Once a car is broken into there is no internal locking compartment that can't be compromised within a few seconds. How long do you think a plastic glove compartment door would resist a small pry bar?
I think when the top is off there is a motion sensor if somebody tries to reach over the glass and inside. I guess even if the windows are left down.
Personally I always put the windows up if the top is off when I park. Then at least somebody would have to be painfully obvious to get something inside and I'd never leave it long with the top off.
Basically just going into a store or something. You could still never reach the glove box or center console with the windows up unless you were 6'-10" or something
