AFe CAI and CEL issues
Hey Guys,
Hope everyone had a happy and health holiday!
So I ordered an AFE CAI for my 15 z06/z07 M7 vert’ as it’s 1st mod
at 6k miles and I got a CEL that kept returning despite all
the advice on this forum in previous threads (unplugging the battery, checking for a leak, ect). It pulled
p0171 and p0174 (running lean and banks 1 and 2, respectively. I contacted AFE and they were nice enough to make me a new thicker air intake tube but it feels counterproductive and had my car tune appropriately for the increased flow (which I was originally hesitant to do, but changed my mind after some good advice from a reputable forum member and friend
Definitely feel the increase in power after the tune and the decline in MPG, but well worth it.
The no lift shifts are even more epic now

AFE Install
Installed an aFe intake on my '17 Z06 MT when new. No issues or CEL. I used the dry filter of the two that were provided. 5,000 miles later still fine. No dyno baseline or tune yet. Cannot determine its benefits but sounds & looks good.
