Default blown brick

Hey guys i hope what i am posting makes sense. I have a 2016 Z07 and the supercharger cooling brick is leaking. I need to replace it but Chevy wants me to buy the whole supercharger assembly. My unit itself is in good working order. Chevy says theres no individual part no for the brick. They do this crap all the time. When indeed there is a part no. for certain parts. My ? is does any of the good members here know the part number to the cooling brick? Thank You.

I don't have it. But if you ping Jokerz or Kong, I'm sure they may be able to help point you in the right direction.

How did you know you're brick was leaking? What issues did you experience?

car started burning coolant. thought it was a head gasket did a compression test everything checked out good. did a pressure test on the blower and herd it leaking took the blower lid off and saw it leaking at the brick. Bare in mind this is what the shop is telling me so i might be off on what i am saying.

There is no separate part number for the bricks. You either replace the SC assembly or find used bricks from a shop that works on the SCs. You also have the option of removing the brick and taking it to a radiator shop to have it repaired. The problem with that is the repair might block some of the airflow. Another option is to replace both bricks with tilted aftermarket bricks (WeaponX used to sell some) along with replacing the cover since you need the new cover when using the tilted bricks. The new cover necessitates changing the hood liner to the 2017 and newer hood liner. A final option is to purchase a used SC assembly (look on eBay) and replace the one you have. That might be a lower cost than having the dealer do the work.

Make sure the system is thoroughly and completely bled on completion.

OP, As you can see in the picture the WeaponX bricks are tilted. You will need to add the 2017+ lid and hood liner. Here is what a used unit from eBay costs:

If you want aftermarket bricks get the C&R units. We carry them.

So with these bricks you can use the stock lid? I have a 2016 Z06. My bricks are not leaking just thought I could benefit with extra cooling.

You can also put a wtb post on the for sale section and someone wanting to upgrade their bricks might pull the trigger if they have a for sure sale on the oem bricks. Just a thought.

If it was me I would buy the C&R bricks and then sell your good used brick. Someone might need a used factory brick.
