How big are the SD-cards and what FS are you formatting them with? My car had a 128GB card in it when I got it and I am unable to format it with a Fat32 filesystem, which is what the car requires. I got the "no card inserted" error too.
I bought a 64Gb card, formatted it Fat32 and it works just fine.

I’ve done this exact same thing and it worked fine as well. Do this OP before you do anything else ( if you haven’t done it already ) this solves 99% of the issues with the PDR not working .

So, I have a FAT32 32gb 10 SD card. I have cleaned the contacts, tried thre differnct cards, all the right format and still nothing!! So frustrating, espcially as there is only 1 UK dealer and I am not sure they are that intereted in cars they didnt supply!

If you run out of options, perhaps I can send you a 32GB card that is tested to work in my car. That way you can tell the dealer you're working with a known good card tested in another Z06? I guess it's possible the card slot itself is bad or dirty.

Yes, a PC reads all three of the cards I have used perfectly. I can even see that it is formatted correctly.
Not sure you would want to send a card to the UK but I apprciate the offer. I am sure I can find someone over here when I get to a meet! If not, I will try the dealer.

Sorta sounds like when my phone wont charge sometimes because there is something in the slot blocking the connection. Take a can of air and spray into the card reader slot. Maybe there is a tiny bit of dust or something blocking the connection. Get it spraying first before aiming in the slot so you don't get any of that first initial frozen stuff in there. Hopefully it's simple like that.

I have a 256 GB card and used the free 3rd party software to format it. Works great and I have like 1500 hours of available video!!! Do a search on it that's how I found a step by step with what software to download to make it work.

There was a 256GB card in my car when I got it (used). The car couldn't see it. When I popped it into a PC to format it (with either the windows tool or several 3rd party tools), it showed up as something like 16Gb total. No amount of deleting partitions, formatting, etc. would work to be able to even see the full capacity of the card. I can only assume it failed internally somehow. These things are cheap consumer grade junk..When I bought the replacement, I bought several and formatted them and threw them in the glove box just in case.

Problem solved it was the formatting of the SD card. LiManZ06 went above and beyond and sent me an SD card he had used in his PDR so it was proven the SD card worked. I used a can of air to make sure the card reader was clean, installed the SD card he sent me and it worked perfectly. This is such a great example of how great the members of this forum are. Thank you all for all your ideas and help but again thank you LiManZ06, sending me this SD card was so kind I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
