After months of waiting through the great Prismatic Powder Supply Shortage.. I just recieved my Weapon X LT4 Supercharger lid in Laser Crystal (Carbon Flash) It looks fan-damn-tastic in person! I know what I'll be doing to my Z this weekend. Thanks to the guys over at Weapon X for a great looking cover.! I made the first half of a sound video with OEM Lid, will make the other half soon. Should hear that supercharger whine with this thing

Yes more outside car... still cannot hear much in the car.. you'd have to be hauling *** to hear it in the car
Out of curiosity, then why did you do it? Respectfully asking. Do you notice some performance gains? Was it the looks, which are pretty awesome BTW? I planning on swapping my lid also, but was really hoping for more whine.
It does create more boost that my OEM, I won't see anything concrete or take advantage of gains, until I get my Corsa system on and tune for bigger air tube, lid, and pipes. Car definitely feels even more responsive with butt dyno. Whine outside of car definitely an audible higher pitched whine but Corvettes just don't have the huge air coming in like a Camaro or Challenger has. I was told that had a ot to do with it. In my opinion it seems those cars make power in a lower RPM range? By the time you begin to really hear the whine in a Z06.. your way past any chance of any leniency with law enforcement. Cabin pretty insulated from noise as well on the C7. You can pull the rubber seal in back, but that hurts the aero at speed quite a bit and I can't do that one. At the end of the day even if gains are not monumental I am extremely happy on how it looks. It does not look like every other Z06 at the end of the day and that in itself let's it become more "my own" so to speak.
