Default Cracked rear wheel

Hello everyone,Nice to meet everyone as I am new to the forum. I have a 17' Z06 and I recently discovered a crack on the factory rear wheel. I am well aware of the common cracked wheel issue, but I had a couple questions as far as replacement wheel options. At the moment I do not want to spend the money on an entire set of new aftermarket wheels so I am looking to replace one wheel or maybe even both rear wheels.

My questions are..

1. Has anyone purchased a factory replica wheel from tirerack.com?, I saw they have replica 20x12 in gloss black for roughly under $400 and have considered it an option.
2. Would it be a better option if I just replaced both rear wheels for a 19x12 in a 335/30 or even 345/30 instead if keeping the original 20" wheel?
3. Any suggestions on where I can find a local wheel around the Houston area other than Corvettes of Houston-nothing against them, those guys are great! I am just seeking my options here.

Thank you,

For entirely other reasons than cracked rims, I’ve owned 4 sets of C7Z factory wheels. Not 1 single problem.
Consider purchasing a replacement set, here. I did.
They’re usually quite affordable.

Thank you,
Check with a former forum vendor, Bob at House of Wheels. They sell Repros and OEM wheels. I suspect there is a slight visual difference between the repros and the OEM wheels. At least my experience with them indicates there is always at least some small visual difference when the wheels are beside each other. Here is House of Wheels info:

Phone Number: 561-445-7606
Over the last 20 years, I have purchased a number of OEM GM wheels for my C5s and C6. The price was always better than I could get them anywhere else and they were shipped quickly.

Here is their current thread in the C7 Parts forum:

I now have OEM zr1 wheels on the front of my car and the house of wheels repros in the rear. It would take a trained eye to notice the difference on the rears. If they were the fronts, it would be more noticeable because of the offset and concavity of the front rims (this is what Bill is referring to). The only other way to tell would be the indentation from z06 or zr1 on the OEM wheels.

yeah i would buy just the one rim from on here perhaps from one of the vendors mentioned already or in the parts section, etc.. ebay might be worth it as well. 1 rim isnt too bad to ship out.
https://www.car-part.com/ also might guide you to a junkyard somewhat close to you with something.

Thanks for the input, everyone!

Has anybody ran a 345/30r19 tire size on their c7 any rub issues?

I've had 6 OEM wheels bend/crack and 5 aftermarket wheels bend/crack. I'm now trying to decide what to do.
Since your car is 5 y/o and you've had only one wheel crack I'd go for the one replacement. Maybe it will be another 5 years before you crack another?

I have had your exact experience. Cracked right rear. Bought a repro from Tire Rack 2 years ago. So far so good. I would buy direct from Factory Reproductions however.

The only way to tell the repro from the OEM is no "Z06" stamped into the repro.
