Default Mods

Hey all first post in the forum but would love to hear thoughts on this topic. I’m interested in upgrading my C7 Z06 with a few mods. In particular, corsa extreme exhaust maybe better belt, air intake , headers, cam and possibly a tune. Does any of this affect the reliability of the car. If so, I’m not interested. I wouldn’t mind some hp gains but mainly interested in the old school sound of the car. Thinking the exhaust and cam would be enough but not sure what else I need to do to make this work. Thanks in advance !

if done properly no adverse affects but better performance and reliability all around since the doing the cam you can do the dod/afm delete and vvt delete

I like all the your ideas on the mods but a cam is going to cost some coin to get done, lots of labor in that one. unless your doing your own work.
you would get decent power increases with the standard new full exhaust, intake, throttle body mods and a nice tune.

depending on your budget that alone would be roughly $3000-$3500 in parts.

significant mods absolutely affect reliability. As soon as you start changing things that require a tune that is the realm you are in, plain and simple.

Long tubes, intake, and pulley are probably the most common mods. After that how much more do you really need? Lol

All depends on who did the car and tuned it.

I have done everything you listed there and more. No issues with reliability though when adding more power always comes more risk of something failing.

My opinion is that you don’t really need to go that far. I grew up with muscle cars and drag racing so I know what you mean about the old schools sound..

what I did was intake, x-pipe (delete second cats) and Corsa exhaust and I will say it is perfect. 100 percent reliable and still und gm warranty 😎
