Default Front Splitter

I need a new front splitter. I had to replace front bumper cover. I bought a 15 ZO6/ZO7. It had a no accident carfax. Six months after buying, driving on highway the front splitter blew apart tearing front bumper cover. The car had been in an accident. There were mismatched bolts holding on stage 3 front splitter. None of bracing was in place behind front bumper. There were missing undertrays. All pieces supposed to be behind bumper were replaced along all undertrays. I was looking for a splitter that is compatible with all undertrays. Including a piece I was calling close out panel. Seems to cover about everything under engine. It appears some are not. That doesn’t make sense to me. Anyone w any experience? Am I just overthinking it. I thought w all undertrays it would be a stock/ stiffer setup

I can't speak on the undertray part, but my Z has been in the body shop for quite a while now waiting on a splitter. They seem to be backordered, the carbon fiber OEM ones at least.

The front splitter may have been removed during some maintenance process that has no relationship to an accident or it could have been damaged by somebody pulling to far forward in a parking space and hitting a parking curb (this a highly likely event in cars that don't have the front cameras).

The OEM front splitter has 22 locations on the bottom front edge where the stock undertray is bolted to the splitter. Over the years the bolts that hold the undertray to the splitter have changed from Torx bolts to Hex Head bolts of the same size. I have a mix of these bolts holding my undertray in place as the Torx Head bolts tend to rust and strip.

The front deflector panel is a separate panel that is on all C7s. It is mounted above the undertray and below the radiator duct. Since the front deflector is mounted very close to the radiator duct above, somebody that has an M7 Z06/GS with the Auxilary Radiator mounted horizontally on the bottom of the radiator duct may remove the front deflector in an attempt to increase airflow through the Aux Radiator. As far as I know, the front deflector helps reinforce the front bumper/fascia while the undertray reinforces the splitter which is bolted to the bottom of the front fascia.

I have removed my undertray multiple times so I can change the splitter from a Stage 2 with small end caps to a Stage 3 with large end caps, changed front wheel well liners multiple times due to track turds tearing the liners up when on track, and when I changed the coolant in my SC intercooler circuit.

Thx Bill. My car does have Aux radiator . I believe you are correct that an undertray/ deflector was removed to increase air flow along with holes that were cut in bumper cover in front of were aux radiator sits It was not the original front bumper cover on the car when I bought it. I do want to get a stage 3 splitter but wanted to use undertray as reinforcement but maybe that isn’t necessarily
thx again
