Basic tuning needs
Hi all! I just bought a 2019 Z06 A8 3LZ with only 4200 miles on it. I used to have a 2017 GS and had some basic changes done to the programming to make it more enjoyable to drive. The problem is that it seems that a LOT of people have gone out of business since I had the tuning done. I'm not looking for huge power upgrades, but want a few basic issued corrected. 1-- NO V4 MODE! 2-- I strongly prefer the "track" mode throttle map. I'd like the car to stay in that map, as it gets rid of the non linear throttle and strange, almost turbo like throttle lag. Also, very interested in transmission programming. I have been constantly disappointed with the A8 and it's sluggish responses in manual mode. I've shifted almost 1000 RPM before redline and STILL hit it because the transmission refused to shift. I can't for the life of me understand why; the new CT5-V Blackwing with the A10 shifts INSTANTLY when told to do so. Is there anyone who can program the A8 to shift like the new A10 does-- smoothly but firmly and when told to do so? I know I have to send the transmission controller out for unlocking but am unsure of what to do from there. Can the transmission be told to automatically upshift at redline?

The A8 can be improved on but it will never be as good as the A10. Even the A10 will take a moment to shift since its not a DTC. That will never change due to the internals of the transmission. Most of the guys I set up want the car to auto shift in manual mode so that they can drive it in manual mode to start and then let it shift automatically. The paddles are too inconsistent.

Any bit of improvement would be appreciated, that's for sure. Yes, the auto upshift seems to be a good idea. The transmission is a disgrace, frankly, considering the rest of the car.
The new A10 is pretty good; no DCT of course, but snappy. It just has too many gears! 10 is kinda silly, I think.
Do you do tuning? I used to use Dynosteve who did a great job for me but he's gone.
