Default cam input please

has anyone run the gpi lt pd1 or pd2 cam in their z06? would love to see/hear some idle videos from those who have. I know gpi recommends a torque convertor for the pd2 but I see it can be run with a oem a8 convertor

they really impress with there video series explaining the way a lt motor responds to mods and what to look for and the pricing for a cam pkg is really nice as well

Are you on Facebook at all? If so look up team gpi and search PD2. There a few videos of how it idles in that group. I know my buddy has an SS2 in his Camaro and they highly recommended a stall for it. I personally went with a PD3 in my ZL1 and have the same cam for my Z06. I choose it after talking to them about my horsepower goals. It also has a nice chop to go along with it.

yea I have a 2016 Z06 that I’m gathering parts for my build. I’m aiming for 900-1k with this build. My ZL1 was 850 and then I pulley swapped it and made 922. Both cars were a manual so I can’t comment on the converter issue. My buddies SS is an 8 speed and he’s running the SS2 and he’s running a 3200 stall on his car. Both my cars are GPI built and tuned. Their customer service is amazing and they answer emails fairly quickly and will answer about any question you have. I bug them constantly on all sorts of stuff and it doesn’t phase them at all.

seem like decent folks not a huge distance away but its a parts depot for me. I like to build my own motors since to many shops have screwed my builds up in the past. local tuner to me is a drag week winner has a huge shop and builds 4 digit cars monthly.
I will likely stay with the pd1 cam since its oem convertor friendly. if it chops half as hard as yours I'll be happy. spec'd as follows. 218/246 .639/.639 116+3
