Looking at two different 2019s. Same year, same color, same price. Car 1 has comp seats and 4k less miles is a 1LZ and has nav/pdr. It does have aftermarket tires/wheels and tow hooks in the front and back, dealer says no mods and is stock and the extra stuff was done for looks. Could of been tracked though. Car 2 is a 2LZ, has gt seats, ppf, nav/pdr and the 4k more miles. Other than that they are very simlar in extra options. Miles for both are below 15k. Car 1 is a dealer, car 2 is a private seller. I can add the ppf to car 1 or swap out for comp seats in car2. Not sure how much of a price difference that would be for doing either.
How much PPF is covering car 2? If it's a full, or mostly full wrap, that's worth about 3 grand.
Are the aftermarket wheels on car 1 forged or cast? That could be a 3 to 4 grand upgrade if they are forged.
I have GT seats and wouldn't want the comp seats as they push my shoulders forward in an uncomfortable way.
2LZ is obviously a step up from 1LZ, and might mean stage 2 or even stage 3 aero?? That's worth allot two.
Lots of variables.
aero on both are the same. Ppf on car 2 is most of it except the top and top of the trunk. I've never sat in the comp seats though but I do like the look. I'm not a big guy so not sure if that would effect me or not
1. Upgraded radio
2. Heated and ventilated seats
3. Memory package
4. Front camera - not sure if the 1LZ has this or not.
5. Cargo net
6. Power passengers seat - not sure if the 1LZ has this or not.
Depending on where you look for the information.
Personally I'd rather have a 2LZ car. However, (just me) I feel a little more comfortable purchasing from a dealer than an individual. If you decide to sell the car, the 2LZ should have a better residual value.
I would buy car 2. Seats aren't that big a deal. I bought a 2015 Z06 with the comp seats, hated the car, sold it 3 months later. Ordered my 2016 Z06 I still have, and love and I ordered it with the GT seats in my opinion they are much more comfortable, but I'm a big guy, 6'2" 300 lbs. I have heard others make the same statements about the seats. I got the same GT seats in my 19 ZR1.

Based on your car's quarter mile performance, I was figuring you for 5'6" and 141 lbs.

I'm a better mechanic than I am a dietician. I've always just added more power rather than strip a car down obsessed with weight. And eat a lot of fast food. yes, I know it's bad. The last time I weighed my Z06 it was 3985 lbs with me and a half a tank of fuel in it. Thanks for the kind words. I've been racing for a little over 46 years and I learn something new every time I go to the track. This was shut down just past the beams on Darlington Dragway I kind of BS my way through tech, depending on the track.
I don't want to add a roll cage and chute on a daily driver. The roll bars are only safe if you are wearing a helmet. Fender benders can be much worse if you don't.
And I drive my car to the track.

From a structural standpoint there isn't that much difference between the Comp Seats and the GT Seats. They both use the same seat frame and the seat bottom cushion is shaped exactly the same other than the Comp Seat seat bottom has 3 sections whereas the GT seat only has 2 sections. All of that is accomplished with the upholstery. Some people say the Comp Seat foam is more firm but the few cars I have ridden in with the GT seats felt the same as my Comp Seats. The biggest difference with the Comp Seat is the seat back side bolsters. They come up higher on the torso than the GT seats so come closer to your arm pits. The higher bolster helps hold the occupant in the seat when cornering aggressively. On the street, the Comp Seat belt pass throughs don't do much and they don't change the overall shape of the seat from the GT Seat. The belt passthroughs are about 4 inches lower than similar passthroughs in a race seat and work somewhat on track but they limit the size of the person and harness bar location. If the occupant is over 5"11" tall and the shoulder belt is fastened to a low harness bar like the Shark Bar or the lower bar on the BK Racing harness bar the passthroughs work. If the person is over 6 ft then it is highly likely the passthroughs are too low and the seat should be replaced with a true race seat for track duty.
This is what I mean by the passthroughs being too low for taller people:
The rules are that seat belt shoulder harnesses should travel straight from their mounting point to the shoulder of the occupant. This picture taken with a friend sitting in my car shows the belt going through the passthrough and then bending upward to go over the person's shoulder which is higher than the top edge of the passthrough. In an incident the shoulder belt will snap tight under thousands of pounds of pressure and the seat will become part of the restraint system and when it breaks it will let the occupant's upper body move forward a couple of inches.
As for the 1LZ car having aftermarket rims and tires that may mean the owner decided to replace cracked or bent rims the same as a lot of owners have done over the last few years. The aftermarket rims and tires aren't indicative of the car being tracked unless the rims are 18 inches and the tires are slicks.
