So, let me start by saying thanks to the forum for helping me get in my car. I went on vacation, and when I came back, my Z06 was utterly dead. When I tried to use the key to open the trunk, I discovered the drum for the key was gone, so I searched the forum on what to do, and fortunately, I read you could jack up the car and charge the battery using the starter positive cable and what do you know it worked. So, after gaining access to the battery, I decided to do some modifications to make it easier next time. First, I fixed the truck's key, which had fallen out, and then I added my own battery jump studs under the car. I also moved the battery tender connection to the front. Here are some pictures. I hope it helps someone.
I connected my battery tender with alligator clips at the rear stud on the underhood fuse box for years. I propped the hood open a bit with a roll of paper towels on each side so I had a visual indication that the hood was open and the charger was connected.
