Splitter install
I will be installing a Stage 2 splitter on my 2015 Z06 M7. Some videos I have watched say to use the double-sided tape in addition to the other fasteners, and some say that the rivets and screws are sufficient. What say you?

I used both the 3M tape and screws. Decided against the rivets in case i needed to remove it later. It is rock solid.

I just installed a new carbon one and only used the screws. For me it looked like the 3m tape actually created a gap between the bumper and the splitter, so I decided against it. My previous splitter was held on with only screws and no tape and was rock solid for over 10k miles.

I used plastic scrivets instead of the metal rivets when I replaced mine. Much easier to replace the next time and the ones I used were very strong.

The factory uses the bolts and rivets for a reason, I'd skip the tape.. just attracts crud..

There's an option that not many think of. Jacknuts, I bought this pack. You'll need an installer tool as well, but the end result is a splitter that is held on with the strength of a rivet, while you can use washers on the underside to increase the grip area of the screw head to really clamp it down. No tape needed, holes need to be drilled out slightly bigger, but they will grip. Best of all is the splitter becomes a piece that can be removed with ease in future. Makes aligning the splitter easy too as you can keep the screws slightly loose and micro adjust the splitter until you are ready to tighten the screws.
